ESPR Substances of Concern

Z2 supports the substance and material-data layer. Compliance Manager assesses each part on your BOM for the substances of concern ESPR tracks and assembles the component-level material information a Digital Product Passport draws on. Durability, reparability, and footprint requirements are engineering and product matters, so Z2 handles the substance data your compliance team owns and leaves your product teams free to focus on the rest.

Z2 provides the substance-of-concern and material-data portion at component level: which substances a part carries, the concentration where it is reported, and the manufacturer declaration behind each record. That data is assembled across the whole BOM and exported in the formats your passport and downstream systems expect, ready for your team to build into a DPP.

Statuses come from Z2's database of full material declarations and certificates of compliance, with downloadable manufacturer documentation behind each one. Where a substance of concern is present, Compliance Manager names it and marks the part Affected, so a part that carries a reportable substance is never confused with one that is noncompliant. Where Z2 has a gap, its team runs supplier outreach to collect the declaration.

ESPR substance data is one of more than 270 regulations and frameworks Compliance Manager assesses on the same BOM. The parts you assess for ESPR substances of concern are evaluated for REACH SVHC, RoHS, SCIP, and PFAS at the same time, with item rollup showing substance status at every level of the product hierarchy.
