Product Feature
The Supply Chain Module shows you where every part in your BOM is actually made, how exposed each site is, and where a lower-risk alternative exists.
Overview
The Supply Chain Module is a premium add-on to Z2 Part Risk Manager. It maps country of origin, diffusion, and assembly for every part in your BOM, scores every manufacturing site for disruption risk, and surfaces lower-risk, lower-tariff alternatives where one exists. Instead of a separate report, supply chain exposure becomes a property of the parts you already manage in Part Risk Manager, read next to obsolescence, compliance, and market risk on the same BOM.
Z2 classifies each MPN by country of origin, diffusion, and assembly, then rolls it up across your BOM. See how much sourcing sits in one country, find the parts concentrated in a single place, and surface cross alternatives in lower-tariff countries.
Country of origin, diffusion, and assembly are tracked per MPN and rolled up across the BOM, so multi-country versus single-country sourcing shows up at the fab and assembly level.
Each site gets a risk score built from 15+ factors, including country risk, natural disasters, logistics, labor rights, and cybersecurity. Prioritize your highest-risk sites and see which parts in your BOM are exposed.
Where a cross exists, the module suggests it. Compare it against your current part side by side, filter by compliance, lifecycle, cross grade, and more, and save the crosses worth revisiting.

Supply Chain Module is one capability inside Z2 Supply Chain Watch, real-time monitoring of disruptive events mapped to your parts and manufacturing sites, so you act before a disruption reaches your line.
Common Questions
No. The module runs against the BOMs you already manage in PRM. Your parts are scored as soon as it is enabled.
Country of origin is the overall sourced origin, country of diffusion is where the wafer or die is fabricated, and country of assembly is where the component is packaged and assembled. The module tracks all three for every MPN.
Each score is compiled from country, city, site, and logistics factors, more than a dozen in all. Every factor cites the historic source it was drawn from, so you can see exactly how a score was determined.
