Overview
The Trade Compliance Module is a premium add-on to Z2 Part Risk Manager. It puts a tariff on every part in your BOM, complete with the calculation behind the rate, pulls every HTS code into one table, and lets you model the same bill of materials against a different country of import. It is net-new data, not a grandfathered feature, so it works regardless of which other Z2 products you already have.
Every component on the BOM carries its tariff. Where a part has more than one country of origin it carries a range rather than a single figure, because the honest answer depends on which origin the unit actually shipped from. Z2 shows the calculation behind each rate, so procurement and trade teams can check the number instead of arguing about it.
Sourcing decisions rarely turn on one country. Pick the countries of import you care about and Z2 recalculates the bill of materials against each, using the trade codes and country of origin already on the parts. The result is a range per import country, so a build-here-or-there question gets a number instead of an estimate.
When someone needs the trade codes for a whole product, the slow way is one part at a time. The export-codes view gives you a single table: every component, its country of origin under either definition, and all the trade codes that apply. It exports, so it can go straight to whoever asked for it.
