Z2 brings component intelligence, compliance, lifecycle forecasting, and supply chain risk into one platform — a BOM-level view that connects part data to the risk, alternates, and country-of-origin picture behind every line.
Sourcing and supply chain teams at leading OEMs run on Z2
The level of insight that it was able to give us was far superior to what we had seen before with our incumbent solution.
A part-search tab answers one MPN at a time. It can't tell you which of your 2,000 lines is about to go obsolete, which ship from a tariffed origin, or where your only second source already exists.
| Topic | Without Z2 | With Z2 |
|---|---|---|
| Obsolescence | You learn of the EOL after stockout | Z2 lifecycle forecast flags it early |
| Alternates | Weeks hunting and qualifying by hand | A/B/C cross-references pre-mapped |
| Tariff exposure | A surprise on the customs invoice | Country of origin and HTS on every line |
Other tools give you parametrics and a datasheet. Z2 attaches the full risk and sourcing picture to the same MPN, so one record answers what a separate tool, a distributor site, and a compliance database used to.

BOM Rollup
A part-search tool answers one MPN at a time, so a 2,000-line BOM means 2,000 separate lookups and no collective answer. Z2 reads the whole bill of materials at once and returns the exposure that matters at the program level: how many lines face obsolescence, how many carry a restricted substance, how many trace to a single source. The verdict you used to assemble by hand is the first screen you see.
Alternates
When a part goes NRND or hits last-time-buy, the clock starts and finding a qualified replacement by hand takes weeks. Z2 pre-maps form-fit-function alternates for every component in A/B/C tiers, where A is the closest match and C needs engineering review. Each alternate is filterable by country of origin, lifecycle status, and availability, so the replacement you reach for is already screened against the same risks as the original.
Tariff Layer
A datasheet says nothing about where a part is made, so tariff exposure stays invisible until the invoice arrives. Z2 carries country of origin, country of diffusion, and HTS classification on every component, mapped back to the manufacturing site behind it. When Section 301 rates move, you already know which BOM lines are exposed and where the sites that build them sit.
Everything on this page is one tool. Upload a BOM to Part Risk Manager and every line returns its lifecycle forecast, six-factor risk score, pre-mapped alternates, compliance status, and country-of-origin layer in a single view.

Drag in any spreadsheet, CSV, or ERP/PLM export. Z2 reads it as-is, no column mapping or template.
Every line is cross-referenced to the Z2 database for lifecycle, risk score, compliance, and country of origin in one pass.
See program-level exposure, pull pre-mapped alternates, and export the results to your PLM or through the API.
They answer different jobs. A part-search tool is the engineer’s daily lookup for parametrics and datasheets. Z2 is the risk and sourcing layer the procurement and supply chain side needs: BOM-level rollup, six-factor risk scoring, pre-mapped alternates, and a country-of-origin layer on every line. Most teams run Z2 alongside what engineering already uses.
Z2’s lifecycle forecasting uses a proprietary algorithm validated against real end-of-life outcomes, with 90%+ historical accuracy. It projects an obsolescence date per part so you can qualify a replacement before stockout, instead of learning of an EOL after the fact.
Z2 tracks 1B+ off-the-shelf components across 1,000+ commodity types, and part-to-site mapping covers roughly 70% of the off-the-shelf components in a typical BOM on day one. Coverage starts the day you upload.
Yes. Z2 carries country of origin, country of diffusion, and HTS classification on every component, mapped to the manufacturing site behind it. That lets you model tariff impact across a full BOM, line by line.
The same record feeds compliance, sourcing, and supply chain risk. One part entered once is visible across all three.
components tracked
manufacturing sites mapped
regulations covered
Real supply chain expertise, not just a support ticket queue.
