9/10 NPS Score 9 out of 10 customers would recommend Z2 to a peer. Source: Z2 Customer Satisfaction Survey 2026

Cross reference any semiconductor.

Z2 cross-references your at-risk semiconductor against 1B+ parts and scores form-fit-function alternates on package, ratings, temp grade, lifecycle, and compliance — one view, not a stack of datasheets.

  • 1B+ verified semiconductor crosses
  • Compare datasheet specs side by side
  • Check lead time, stock and pricing

Component engineers at leading OEMs run on Z2

I've found the comparison tool within Z2 to be very helpful. If I'm looking for a replacement part for an existing design, I can line up however many alternates I want to look at and look at the specs line by line and see where things are the same and see where things are different.

Datasheet-by-datasheet cross-referencing doesn't scale.

A real alternate has to clear package, electrical ratings, temp grade, compliance, lifecycle, and live inventory. Reconciling all of that by hand runs hours per part, and a "match" that is itself obsolete or noncompliant just re-creates the problem.

Task Without Z2 With Z2
Finding a form-fit-function alternate Line up datasheets, reconcile specs by hand Ranked A/B/C matches, scored against your part
Confirming the alternate is safe to design in Check lifecycle and compliance in separate tools Lifecycle, RoHS, REACH, and COO on every result
A part goes obsolete with no PCN You find out when stock runs dry Flagged ahead of time, with alternates attached

Every parameter that decides a real cross.

A semiconductor cross is only a drop-in when the package fits and the ratings hold. Z2 normalizes these fields across hundreds of millions of parts so you compare like for like.

Package / case style
Z2 confirms the package, pin map, and mounting on every candidate, so a swap drops onto your existing board without a costly respin.
Voltage ratings
Compare breakdown voltage and rated Vds across alternates, so each candidate clears your operating envelope with real margin to spare.
Current ratings
Check continuous and pulsed current ratings side by side, ruling out parts that look close on the datasheet but cannot carry your load.
Temperature grade
See the rated operating temperature range on each alternate, so a commercial-grade part never slips into an automotive or industrial design.
Lifecycle status
Every candidate carries a live lifecycle status, so you cross to parts still in volume production instead of chasing another obsolete one.
Distributor availability
View real distributor stock and pricing on each alternate, so the part you choose is one you can actually buy at volume today.

Cross-reference search

Closest match, ranked and explained.

Enter an MPN and Z2 scans hundreds of millions of parts for the closest form-fit-function alternates, then sorts them into A, B, and C tiers. An A cross is a clean drop-in. A C cross works but needs engineering review. Every result opens into a side-by-side spec comparison that flags each difference as minor, moderate, or major, so you see exactly what changed before you commit a part to the design.

Lifecycle intelligence

Never cross to a part that's already dying.

A match means nothing if the alternate is NRND or heading to obsolescence next quarter. Z2 carries a lifecycle forecast with 90%+ historical accuracy on every part, from a proprietary algorithm validated against real end-of-life outcomes. Around 150,000 components reach end-of-life each year, and a large share go obsolete with no manufacturer PCN, so Z2 flags at-risk parts ahead of the last-time-buy window instead of after stock runs dry.

Built-in risk score

One number for whether a cross is safe.

Z2 scores every part on six factors: lifecycle, compliance, technology generation, market availability, supplier risk, and multi-sourcing. The score travels with each cross-reference result, so a strong parametric match that is single-sourced, noncompliant, or built on aging technology gets caught before it lands in your design. You compare candidates on risk, not specs alone.

Everything on this page is Part Risk Manager. It is one tool that cross-references 1B+ components, scores each part on lifecycle, compliance, and supplier risk, and surfaces the form-fit-function alternates you need the moment a semiconductor goes at-risk.

Questions component engineers ask first.

How does Z2 find a cross-reference?

Z2 scans hundreds of millions of parts for the closest form-fit-function matches, comparing package, electrical ratings, speed, temp grade, compliance, and lifecycle. Results are classified into A, B, and C tiers, where A is the closest drop-in and C needs engineering review. Each cross opens into a side-by-side comparison flagging every difference as minor, moderate, or major.

What semiconductor types does it cover?

Z2 tracks 1B+ off-the-shelf components across 1,000+ commodity types. That includes ICs, microcontrollers, MOSFETs and power devices, analog, logic, diodes, voltage regulators, memory, and crystal oscillators.

How do I know an alternate won't go obsolete too?

Every part carries a lifecycle status and a forecast with 90%+ historical accuracy, from a proprietary Z2 algorithm. Z2 flags NRND and at-risk candidates so you don’t cross to a part heading for end-of-life. Around 150,000 components reach end-of-life each year, many with no manufacturer PCN, so the forecast matters.

Does it check compliance and country of origin?

Yes. Each cross-reference result carries RoHS and REACH compliance status and country-of-origin data, alongside Z2's coverage of 270+ regulations. You see compliance and sourcing exposure on a candidate before you design it in, not during an audit.

How is this different from a distributor's cross-ref tool?

Distributor tools surface alternates within their own stocked lines and are biased toward what they sell. Z2 is independent: it spans 1B+ parts across manufacturers, adds lifecycle forecasting, a six-factor risk score, compliance depth, and live inventory across sources, not one catalog.

Cross-reference is just the beginning.

One platform for the full life of every part on your BOM.
