Find qualified alternates for any part and compare them on lifecycle, stock, and sourcing in one place, no more tab-by-tab supplier hunting.
Component engineers at leading electronics OEMs run on Z2.

Z2 has been a valuable tool allowing our organization to avoid supply driven product redesigns and, alternatively, massive inventory over-purchasing. Manually gathering and analyzing market data is incredibly labor intensive. Z2 has allowed our team to react quickly and regularly to early warning signs.
A part goes NRND mid-program and the clock starts. Specs live in one tool, pricing in another, compliance and lifecycle somewhere else, and you reconcile them by hand across hundreds of candidates.
| Task | Without Z2 | With Z2 |
|---|---|---|
| Finding a replacement | Hunt datasheets across manufacturer sites for weeks | Closest A/B/C matches returned from one search |
| Vetting a candidate | Line up specs by hand, miss the differences | Side-by-side diff flags minor, moderate, major |
| New-risk check | Discover the alternate's own EOL or COO later | Lifecycle, compliance, and origin shown up front |
Z2 parameterizes 1,000+ commodity types and compares each candidate against the original on the fields that make a cross safe or risky.
| Capability | | Distributor part search | Manual datasheet compare |
|---|---|---|---|
| Form-fit-function A/B/C match tiers | Yes | Partial | No |
| Compare full part specs side by side | Yes | No | Partial |
| Lifecycle status and EOL forecast | Yes | No | No |
| RoHS and REACH status at part level | Yes | Partial | No |
| Country of origin and tariff exposure | Yes | No | No |
| Licensed and broker pricing in one view | Yes | Partial | No |
| Risk score on every candidate | Yes | No | No |
| Filter cross sets by lifecycle, COO, availability | Yes | No | No |
| Export results to PLM or ERP | Yes | Partial | No |
Closest Match
Enter a part and Z2 searches its full database for the closest form-fit-function matches, then ranks them A, B, or C. A is the drop-in. C needs engineering review. The side-by-side comparison shows you exactly where each alternate matches the original and where it diverges, flagged minor, moderate, or major, so you are not reading two datasheets to find one difference.
New-Risk Check
A perfect electrical match can still be a bad alternate if it is itself near end-of-life, blocked on compliance, or sourced from a country you cannot ship from. Z2 layers lifecycle status and a >90%-accurate EOL forecast, RoHS and REACH status, and country of origin onto every candidate, so the part you qualify today does not become next quarter's stockout or customs hold.
Filter And Source
Closest match is the start, not the answer. Filter the cross set by lifecycle projection, country of origin, and current availability to leave only candidates you can actually buy and qualify. Each surviving alternate carries distributor pricing from licensed channels and broker sources, plus the manufacturer profile, so the sourcing decision lives in the same view as the engineering one.
Everything on this page is Part Risk Manager. Cross-reference search, lifecycle forecasting, compliance status, country of origin, and live availability sit in one tool, so the part you cross is vetted against every risk before it reaches your BOM.
Request a Trial
Enter an MPN or commodity type. Z2 searches hundreds of millions of components for the closest form-fit-function matches.
Review A/B/C tiers with side-by-side diffs. Filter candidates by lifecycle, country of origin, compliance, and live availability.
Confirm the alternate against full part data, then push it to your PLM or ERP or download the comparison.
Z2's algorithm searches hundreds of millions of off-the-shelf components for the closest form-fit-function matches, then classifies each one A, B, or C by how closely it fits. A side-by-side comparison flags minor, moderate, and major differences against the original, so you see where a candidate drops in and where it does not.
It ranks how closely an alternate matches the original part on form, fit, and function. A is the closest match, the candidate nearest to a drop-in. C requires engineering review before use. The tier is paired with a spec-level diff so the rating is backed by the actual differences.
Z2 holds 1B+ off-the-shelf electronic components across 1,000+ commodity types, from zener diodes and crystal oscillators to microcontrollers. Each part is layered with parametric specs, lifecycle status, compliance, country of origin, and pricing, so a cross is judged on more than electrical fit.
Lifecycle forecasts are proprietary to Z2 and validated against real outcomes, with greater than 90% historical accuracy. Availability and pricing come from both licensed distributors and broker sources, including channels other platforms do not surface, so you can filter a cross set down to alternates you can actually buy.
Every commodity type Z2 parameterizes carries the same depth of data.
off-the-shelf components, parameterized and ready to cross.
Real supply chain expertise, not just a support ticket queue.
